Values & History

Founded in 2012 in Wrightsville Beach, NC, Beach Bagels quickly became a local staple for college-aged kids and families. We have now grown from our first location on the coast to four additional stores in the Carolinas.

Everything we do is about bringing people back again and again. With a focus on exceptional customer service and a one-of-a-kind brand identity, Beach Bagels is committed to building profit for franchisees. Known for our good energy and open kitchen concept, guests are entertained by the energy of our hustling kitchen staff making their signature sandwiches. Everything we make is made with love!

Industry Performance

Be part of a brand that is on trend in three ways: fast casual, all-day breakfast, and espresso drinks. With the strengthening economy, more and more Americans are spending their disposable income on eating out, especially when it comes to breakfast. And while they generally like to grab their food on the good, restaurants like Beach Bagels that provide quality, made-to-order food in a fast and casual environment are in demand. Add to this Americans' love of coffee and their recent interest in specialty coffee drinks and Beach Bagels is poised to be successful for many years to come.

Training & Support

Our franchising program is predicated on the fact that the company will only remain competitive if our franchisees are successful. We are dedicated to achieving that success through partnerships with our franchisees. We provide hands-on training in all aspects of owning your own bakery cafe. We also provide marketing and advertising support, as well as ongoing training, research and development of new products, operations support, and periodic business counseling.

Ideal Candidate & Qualifications

To be considered for a Beach Bagels franchise, prospective new owners must, first and foremost, have a passion for great bagels and be truly devoted to the development of a Beach Bagels business. Owners show total commitment to the Beach Bagels brand, and we prefer owner-operators. Additionally, we look for franchisees who are motivated, community-minded individuals and who have a good cultural fit with Beach Bagel brand.

Purchasing a Beach Bagels Franchise

The initial single-unit franchise fee is $25,000. The estimated initial investment required for a single restaurant ranges from $319,270 to $644,170, which includes the franchise fee. We also require our franchisees to have liquid assets of $200,000 and a minimum net worth of $1,000,000.

Our royalty fee is progressive, starting at just 3% in your first two years of business, then increasing to 4% in year three, and finally stopping at 5% in year four and beyond. This is to give new franchisees the added benefit of additional cash flow in the early years to help to develop the business and to acquire their customer base prior to the burden of royalties. The 4% advertising fee is broken up into two parts: 2% is focused on local advertising efforts and 2% funds national advertising efforts.
