The brand delivers on that mission by focusing on students of all ages and offering a tailored curriculum that encourages students to learn at their own pace. Our franchise owners know that education represents an opportunity for students, and further, understand the importance quality instructors play in supporting individual growth. With programs that cater to K-12 students of all ability levels, the Best in Class model aims to deliver engaging course material that gets real results. Franchise owners stand to enjoy part-time hours with full-time income based on a turnkey business model, complete with multiple revenue streams and a high net return.
Values & History
The Best in Class brand started small with humble roots. The value of quality education is a personal matter for founders Hao and Lisa Lam, who fled Vietnam's communist government in the late 1980s in search of a better life. Earning a BA in Mathematics, Hao graduated at the top of his class after a long period of tireless work. During that time he found what would ultimately become his passion by tutoring his fellow students and helping them to understand the complex coursework and exams. A love for education and helping others was born. Best in Class opened its first center in 1995 in Seattle, WA, and the company has been growing rapidly ever since, offering a range of programs that serve well over 30 communities across the nation.
Educational services in the US accounted for $2 billion in revenue over the 2019 fiscal year, an annual growth of 0.3% over the previous five years. With over 1.3 million businesses in operation and 12.7 million employees, the key opportunities for the Best in Class model draw on increasing class sizes, limited staff, funding decreases for schools, and increasingly competitive colleges, creating a demand for the high-quality educational services provided by Best in Class.
