FranNet is excited to share another resource with our audience of budding entrepreneurs. Stage2Startups is an organization dedicated to assisting professionals who are seriously considering a career transition soon. And from what we’ve covered in several recent blogs regarding the Great Resignation, we know you’re out there! Stage2Startups is currently conducting an intriguing virtual series, titled “Founders Over 40 Unconference”. October is an action-packed month for this program of keynote speakers, panels, networking opportunities, and discussions of all things entrepreneurial—including participation from one of our qualified franchise consultants.
The Unconference schedule includes daily updates in October, but on each Wednesday of this month, they’re producing three hours of streamed online content from the program. Anyone may attend; however, it does require registration and the purchase of tickets.
Unconference Programs for October
This Wednesday, Oct. 13, from 12:00-3:00 p.m. (EST), the Unconference program is “Buying and Building a Business: Founders Who Build From Others”. As soon as the keynote address is complete, panel discussions will begin at 1:00 p.m., moderated by our very own Leslie Kuban, Market President and Franchise Consultant serving Atlanta, GA. The topic is “From Corporate to Small Business Owner: Why I Changed My Life and Bought a Business.” Jose Jimenez, an AlphaGraphics franchise owner, and Mary Ann Cordiano, a franchise owner of CMIT Solutions of Cleveland, Ohio, will be joining her.
On Wednesday, Oct. 20, at the same time (12-3 p.m. EST), the program title is “The Brandpreneurs: Founders Who are the Face of the Business”. Tangential panel discussions during this three-hour streamed session include mitigating ageism, reinventing brands, and how to successfully navigate the transition from startup to established business.
The final 12-3 p.m. EST streaming session in October is set for Wednesday the 27th, with a title of “Driving Social Change: Founders of Nonprofit Organizations”. You’ll learn about networking and how to build bridges to create opportunities, how to drive social change and a panelist’s firsthand account of turning passion into a nonprofit.
The Founders Over 40 Unconference series has been underway since the beginning of the month, but with three streaming sessions to go, there’s still time to make plans to attend. You can view the full program schedule for the month by following this link. As mentioned, participating in the online session requires registration and the purchase of a ticket. If you wish to check out one of the remaining Wednesday events, you can buy a one-day pass for less than $50. Follow this link to register.
