Your First Step to Becoming Your Own Boss Starts with a Personal Meeting

People who harbor the desire to go into business for themselves go about the process in many different ways. Some have planned such a move for decades, others at the spur of a moment. They often discuss their plans, thoughts, hopes, and fears with family, friends, mentors and other acquaintances. At times, maybe even a bartender. But when it comes time to take actionable steps, they’re going to need true professional assistance. And that’s where we come in.

FranNet has enjoyed three decades of success in helping to guide budding entrepreneurs onto the right path of business ownership in the franchise world. And one of the best attributes of our process is the personal meeting. Up until the point in which you walk through our doors, you’ve no doubt solicited many opinions of your plans. But discussing these plans with certified specialists such as our franchise consultant team is a whole different ballgame. And some of our techniques may surprise you.

First off, we’re not here to convince you that franchise ownership is the right thing for you. For all we know, it may not be. Above all else, we’re actually here to listen. We need to know how meaningful your career has been up to this point. We’ll ask why. Why do you think franchising is right for you? We know the answer, but we also need to get a sense of your understanding of what it means.

Through our personal meetings, we’re also out to ask critical questions to help build out your ideas of what it will mean to be your own boss and a business owner. We’ll definitely discuss the pros, but we never leave out the cons, either. We like to discuss goals with you. What are yours? How have you worked to achieve them? How about your lifestyle? What really makes you tick? What keeps you satisfied? Where would you like to be someday?

Once we can get a general sense of your direction, it’s then time to talk about what kind of business appeals to you. We have to admit, even we’re surprised with the answers we sometimes get. Like the buttoned-down accountant that we assume would enjoy a numbers-based franchise concept who, in turn, actually prefers a handyman opportunity. Why would that be? As it turned out, he never liked sitting behind a desk five days a week. Trust us, we get it! There are over 3,000 different franchise concepts on the market today. We’re counting on you to help us narrow it down for your personal preferences.

After we’ve met a couple of times, we’ll expect you to come up with a short-list of franchises that you’d like to formally investigate. That’s when the process truly begins. You’ll have a lot of information to digest, but the thrill of imagining yourself at the helm of your own operation should carry you along nicely. We’ve seen this type of enthusiasm before. And if you get too carried away, we’ll be right there to guide you back to sensibility. That kind of professionalism only comes from years of experience.

Hopefully, when all is said and done, you’ll have the empowerment to make what we call an informed decision about which franchise you’d like to move forward with. There are many steps to the investigative process, but we pledge to be right by your side.

It begins with a personal meeting. And it closes with one, too. If you think you’re ready to get started with your own personal meeting, there is an online form you can fill out to reach a consultant near you. You’ll be provided with a booklet we call The Roadmap to Success. Catchy, isn’t it?

Hope to see you soon…
