Jennifer Blair named the brand after her two daughters; Demi and Karli. The 'DE' is the first two letters of Demi, while the 'KA' comes from Karli. Together, the 'DE' & 'KA' form Deka, which means '10'. The number ten has a long-standing history in the beauty industry and represents looking one's best. Both Demi and Karli are actively working with the brand.
