About Candleman

Imagine being surrounded every day by elegance, class, and a subdued, relaxing setting. Now imagine you own that place and offer a unique selection of candles and accessories, many only found in Candleman franchises. Imagine being part of a successful global enterprise that is gaining strength, and which has barely any viable competition in the marketplace. That is the Candleman opportunity.

We have been capitalizing on the happiness that a candle-lit room brings to people for 27 years. There is something unexplainable about how the warmth and glow of candlelight changes the feeling of a room. But we have also created a strong business system of how to build a franchise properly. These two strong aspects of our business, when put together, have proven to be a superior business model on a global scale. Now you can join in the fun and be a part of our team.

Our inventory is the most complete collection found anywhere and includes such rarities as oil lamps and sculpted wax. Collectors and gift-givers alike are commonplace customers at our stores. We simply have what no one else offers.

Values & History

In 1992 the first Candleman retail store opened to great success. Candles were once a necessity but are now simply associated with therapeutic health, romance and elegance. People rich and poor like how they can change their environments with the simplicity of a candle.

In 2002 the concept of the Master Franchise owner came into being and was created in Australia and New Zealand. First expanding into the U.K., our vast success has caused us to open new opportunities in the United States and Canada as our next targets for Master Franchise owners.

Capitalizing on this niche market, Candleman has acquired the finest assortment of candles and accessories available in the retail market space, partnering with manufacturers to produce candles of all manner and classy, wonderful candle accessories, some of which are only made to be sold in Candleman stores. People searching for unique gifts, ways of altering their own homes without buying expensive furniture or preparing for a romantic evening with their loved ones all find their way into Candleman.

Industry Performance

Candleman is the premier franchise for candles, which are a highly underrated business industry. What was a three-hundred-million-dollar business back when Candleman got started has transformed into a three-billion-dollar enterprise today.

A primary reason the stores themselves perform well is because of our layout, which includes a fashionable aesthetic of low lighting, mahogany and brass. Utilizing a mix of artistic color schemes and delicious aromas, customers are charmed the instant they walk through the door and leave with something they will cherish.

Candles are lovely. They also need to be replaced once they are used a few times. People complain about their electronic gizmos and appliances that break down. But people purchase candles with the expectation that they will melt. Repeat customers who enjoy the ambiance of a candle-lit room are commonplace.

Purchasing a Candleman Franchise

We currently have two different models available — the single store franchise and the Master Franchise owner opportunity.

For franchisees that want to simply open one location, we have that design and model available and have been opening such franchises successfully for years. Our Candleman system contains our entire business model and will help direct you from pre-opening real estate and design aspects, and all of the bells and whistles you'll need to run the business smoothly.

From advertising and marketing campaign assistance, inventory purchasing and management, a comprehensive POS system support, we'll assist you every step of the way. Master Franchise owners have the unique opportunity to control an entire region — now available in both the United States and Canada, with the goal of positioning 20-30 new locations.

Ideal Candidate & Qualifications

We are looking for qualified business managers and leaders to take on the challenge of running either a single store or to fill an entire region with Candleman locations. In either case, if you are someone who is well-versed in customer service, inventory management, marketing and promotion, have run a staff of employees and feel confident that you have the overall skill-set needed, then we'd like to talk to you.

For $150,000 you can reserve a region in either the United States or Canada with the goal of opening and running 20-30 Candleman locations as one of our Master Franchise owners, for which you should consider an additional investment close to $200,000 per store.

Training & Support

No matter your experience level at finding locations and opening a new store, we'll be there with our tried and true system. We'll help sign the lease, design the décor, choose from our best-selling inventory and create a pre-opening buzz with marketing and publicity to make your grand opening a special day.

Our experts have considerable experience in retail management and franchise development. You'll have full access to the best information to help make your store or each of your stores a one-of-a-kind experience for your clientele. We'll plug you into our Candleman system and ensure that you and your qualified staff members receive training in all of the most important aspects of running the business operations and day-to-day dealings to ensure your franchise's success.

You are certain to love our cutting-edge internet Private Site for franchisees only, where many of our best support functions are updated daily to give you up to date information that will help you thrive.
