Drybar Franchise

The Drybar® brand has been a major “disrupter” in the hair-care industry. And in this context, the word “disrupter” is a very positive thing. Disrupters sometimes come out of nowhere and challenge the status quo in an industry. They challenge and change that industry in ways that sometimes make people think, “Why didn’t I think of that?”

Alli Webb had this crazy theory that women needed a stylish place to come and enjoy the “affordable luxury” of a professional blowout. And she was right. Prior to the opening of the first Drybar shop, Alli drove around Los Angeles making house calls to women desperate for blowouts. Big demand. No supply. Light bulb.

The Drybar brand continues to grow providing quality blowouts in beautiful shops with a focus on remarkable, over-the-top customer service.

To buy a franchise with Drybar, you'll need to have at least $250000 in liquid capital and a minimum net worth of $750000. Drybar charges a franchise fee of $50000. They also offer a discount for veterans.

Values & History

Named one of the top “100 Brilliant Ideas of 2010” by Entrepreneur Magazine and New York Magazine’s Boom Brands of 2013, Drybar is based on the simple concept of focusing on one thing and being the best at it: Blowouts. The idea was a natural one for curly haired founder Alli Webb, a longtime professional stylist, who constantly found herself overpaying for blowouts at traditional salons.

Today, our growing product line (created specifically for the perfect blowout), is sold through Drybar franchise shops, Sephora, Nordstrom, Ulta and Macy’s and online at fine retailers as well as at drybar.com.

Industry Performance

The multi-billion dollar beauty industry has proven to be recession resistant.

Training & Support

Franchisees work with internal site development team through every step of the buildout process. Concurrently, they work with our operations and marketing teams to go through online pre-training and setup of marketing and recruitment campaigns. 10 weeks out from opening, franchisees and their managers attend Franchise University in Denver where they learn how to hire and retain a team, drive and convert leads and grow their business. The franchisee then works with our Employee Branding and Recruitment team to hire their stylists and bartenders and get ready for opening. The New Shop Openings operations and training teams then spend one week in the market training their team on the service, sales, customer service and ensuring a well-oiled machine. Ongoing support is managed by an operational business coach with regular calls, market visits and KPI-driven feedback. Monthly system-wide webinars, bi-weekly newsletters, innovation and product support.
