About Garage Kings

At Garage Kings the concept is simple: provide our clients with the highest quality seamless floor coating systems available for garages, basements, warehouses, and more. Our methods are so advanced that most projects are completed in less than a day, minimizing the impact on our customers and their families so they can quickly get back to enjoying the comforts of their homes. The dominant custom garage flooring franchise in the US and Canada, Garage Kings are in business to help homeowners get the most out of their living spaces at a price they can afford.

Values & History

Longtime friends Jamie Seamans and Tim Frazer created the Canada-based Garage Kings business concept together in 2013. Tired of working for others and committed to delivering a quality service that would have a real impact on their customers, the two friends spent months testing different chemical coatings, eventually creating their signature Polyaspartic Flake Floor - a durable yet attractive material suitable for all types of indoor sealing. Their installation business was launched soon after, and the success of their business led to expansion into the United States in 2017. Today more than 50 locations are in operation, and the business continues to enjoy rapid growth year-to-year.

Industry Performance

US home renovation in 2019 topped $85 billion in 2019, with 132,798 businesses in operation. With an annual growth of 8% over the last five years, the industry is poised to expand even further as private consumer spending on home improvements has grown by 4.7% annually due to a variety of economic factors. Rising home prices coupled with favorable mortgage rates are expected to yield an active housing construction market in the coming years as a result.

Purchasing a Garage Kings Franchise

This relatively low-cost franchise opportunity requires prospective owners to have at least $25k in liquid capital, with the total initial cost for the business falling somewhere between $97,250 and $241,500. This covers everything the owner will need to get started, including all equipment and products necessary as well as training and marketing support. Financing options are available for qualified individuals.

Ideal Candidate & Qualifications

Franchise owners should be business-minded, always looking to broaden and expand operations while standing behind their work with guaranteed customer satisfaction at every turn. Individuals with the drive and determination to run their own business and provide quality service under a trusted brand while pushing for personal and financial success will be the most successful with this business model. The owner-operator role tends to work best for initial franchisees, keeping costs low as they seek to maintain the excellent customer experience that our brand has become so well known for.

Training & Support

Hands-on training is provided for all equipment and products used over the course of day-to-day operations, and experienced trainers will go over all processes with the owner on an active job site. Ongoing coaching through our mentorship program will ensure you're equipped to handle even the toughest of jobs, while our marketing support team will be on hand to help generate leads and assist you in growing your business. The Garage Kings in-house call center handles incoming calls to keep your operation organized so you can focus on running your business.
