ABOUT CRAIG

I’m Craig Wells, Franchise Specialist for Southwest Los Angeles and Orange County, California. Before purchasing my first franchised business in 1991 (MAACO Auto Painting), I had spent 14 years in shopping center management. From the landlord’s perspective, I watched thousands of businesses thrive, while hundreds of others failed. Interestingly enough, those that were most successful belonged to chains and franchise systems.

In 1996, my wife and I were in your shoes—nervous about finding our next business adventure. We had recently sold our MAACO shop, and chain of 1-hour photo stores. We knew we wanted to start another franchise; that was when we scheduled a free consultation in the Orange County, CA FranNet office. The helpful expert took inventory of our skills and introduced us to an opportunity he felt best suited our strengths and goals.

For over 21 years, I was the President and CEO of Cash Plus, Inc., a national franchise company in the retail financial services industry.  During those years as a franchisor, I continued working with the national network of FranNet consultants who helped expand my system by coaching and referring qualified franchisee candidates.

One advantage I had as an owner was the ability to work with hundreds of other franchise presidents through the International Franchise Association and other industry groups.  That unique perspective can be utilized to help you combine the right puzzle pieces to make your future dreams a reality.

Outside of franchising, I enjoy golf, writing, traveling and spending family time with my wife and two sons. Helping others has always been a priority in the Wells household. Before getting married, my wife and I volunteered as youth ministers at our church. We have also been long-time sponsors of Save the Children. Plus, we initiated BravoKids, a children’s charity program that all of our franchisees could support, nationwide.
