Far beyond simply introducing businesses, I will work with you from creating a custom business model to solidifying your financial plan. My fees are paid by the franchisors of our Business Concept Portfolio. I function merely as your compass by guiding you, both personally and professionally, as you work through your guideposts: accessing your personal strengths and work style preferences; developing a business model that meets your goals; exploring those best fit franchise companies: guiding you through your research and due diligence process, and providing you the resources to make a sound, fact driven purchase.
FranNet sets the industry standard on business ownership education and partners with the SBA and SCORE and locally with your ISBDC. Our success rate: 92% of clients survive two years and 85% of clients survive 5 years. Though, ultimately, my process may lead you to decide that business ownership is not of you, I do commit to working with you until you are comfortable making an informed decision. Mark has been working with individuals to establish local, small businesses since 1993. A graduate of Indiana University-Bloomington, Mark has over 18 years hands-on business consulting experience: initiating business start-ups and business diversification, re-engineering and transition management, and implementing efforts to increase operational funding and return maximization. His experiences includes extensive recruitment/outplacement, human resource management and change management implementation. Mark has advised closely held business owners from “start-up plan” to “right-size plan” to “succession plan.”
With many years of experience as a successful small business owner, Mark is a Myers-Briggs Certified Instructor, has been a columnist for the Indianapolis Business Journal, an adjunct professor with Butler University. Most recently, he founded the E Round Table which is an entrepreneur educator collective comprised of public and private partners whose purpose is to provide professional expertise to Indiana entrepreneurs/entrepreneurship groups focusing on a business owners’ initial 3 years in business.

Mark is an active civic leader, both locally and nationally, focusing on economic development, leadership development, servant leadership and nonprofit fundraising. He is a past chair of the Lacy Executive Leadership Alumni Association (now Leadership Indianapolis) and past recipient of United Way of Central Indiana’s Outstanding Small Business Campaign Coordinator. Most recently, his volunteer time has included the Feinstein Foundation – Great American Songbook & Youth Vocal Academy & Competition.
