Last month, the Canadian Franchise Association (CFA) held their national convention in Ottowa, Ontario, culminating in a gala to celebrate the best in Canadian franchising with the CFA Awards of Excellence. Through entry submissions, more than 70 CFA-member franchise organizations participated in this year’s competition, vying for recognition of awards based on the best franchise relations, leadership, training, and communications systems. There were two concurrent award categories – one for traditional brick-and-mortar type franchises and the other for home-based and mobile franchise concepts. In addition, to ensure an equitable competition, each award category crowned a winner at four different levels, based on the number of franchisees in the brand’s system (6-15, 16-29, 30-99, 100+).
The overall grand prize winner and top honour for franchise concepts were Inspiration Learning Center (traditional), and EverLine Coatings and Services (home or mobile-based). Here are some of the other franchise winners, at each franchise level, who won Gold, Silver, and Bronze-level awards:
