New Jersey’s Strong Labor Force Supports Budding Businesses

There’s a positive outlook among business leaders in the Garden State. The 59th Annual Business Outlook Survey, conducted at the end of 2017 by the New Jersey Business & Industry Association, says that NJBIA members believe that sales, business profits, and hiring are on their way up.

One of the most telling indicators of satisfaction in the NJBIA survey is that 45% of participants believe that New Jersey’s public school system is superior to those of other states. That’s backed up by US News & World Report’s ranking—the publication puts New Jersey second in education. Overall educational attainment is higher than in most other states. All that adds up to a well-prepared, educated workforce.

The quality of life in New Jersey is high, and crime is low. This is good for business and for everyday life. It also contributes to tourism; many businesses benefit from the money spent by visitors each year (around $44 billion in 2016).

FranNet’s local experts are ready to help you choose the best business to start in New Jersey. They know the area and the people, and they’re here to help you make the most of everything New Jersey has to offer.

Benefits of a Consultant2018-08-10T00:33:12+00:00

A FranNet consultant is your one-stop shop for all franchise information and services. We help you by providing assorted research and information that will help you investigate different franchises to start your own business. We can introduce you to many different franchisors, so rather than having to go from place to place to learn about specific businesses, you can learn the basics about several options all in one spot!

How Does This Reduce Risk?2018-11-23T18:16:52+00:00

FranNet helps save you money in several ways: by educating you about franchising; by helping you research your business; by identifying the right structure and strategic mix of the businesses you are interested in; and by introducing you to the franchisors that fit your model. Instead of going from place to place, you can get all of this information in one place. This saves you time and money.

We’ll encourage you to thoroughly research any franchise that you are investigating, and we’ll even help you find franchise attorneys and other advisors so you can gain more information before you buy. We believe that the more you know, the better the odds are that the choice you make will be a good one. As a result, we stress that you spend the necessary time to research before you buy. Once you’ve bought the business, it’s too late to change your mind.

OUR PROCESS

The franchise matching process is a part of FranNet’s free evaluation, a no-brainer for those who are interested in how to buy a franchise. This innovative process will help you understand how to buy a franchise giving you the greatest chance for future success. There are seven basic components we use to help identify if franchising is right for you, select which franchising opportunities are the best fit for your goals, skill set and lifestyle, and ultimately provide actionable information on how to buy a franchise.
  • Initial Consultation

Call or fill out a form and a local consultant will reach out to schedule a Discovery Meeting in order to better understand your goals, interests and timelime.

  • Readiness Assessment

You will have the opportunity to take our free proprietary Readiness Assessment which combines a personality test and investment level determination with your core skills and business ownership aspirations in order to identify the perfect business type for you to explore. From here, we're able to provide better recommendations to specific franchise brands that meet your strengths and increase your chance of entrepreneurial success.

  • Franchise Meeting

Once your Personality Assessment and Financial Review are complete, we will meet with you in person to review potential franchise opportunities that best fit your skill sets, personality, and financial goals.

  • Speak With Franchises

After your Franchise Meeting, you will have the choice of selecting a few franchise companies to speak with directly to learn more about their business models. We will help facilitate those introductions and coach you on the due diligence process, providing guidance on questions to ask, how to understand Franchise Disclosure Documents, and tools on how to rank the franchise opportunities for yourself.

  • Franchise Validation

Once you've learned more about each franchise opportunity that you are interested in, you will be able to speak with active franchisee's in their respective organizations in order to validate the business, support, and success of each.

  • Discovery Day

Prior to making a formal commitment to a franchise opportunity, you will attend a Discovery Day, usually on-site at the corporate headquarters of the specific franchise you're interested in. This Discovery Day is a great opportunity for you to meet the top management team, see their operational facility and learn more about the day-to-day life of owning a business under their brand.

  • Decision Time

Once you return from a discovery day, you'll be in a position to decide if that franchise is the right fit for you. If it is, we'll provide the necessary referrals to franchise attorneys, accountants, and funding partners to help complete your franchise due diligence. From there, it is your choice to sign the final franchise agreement and become a franchisee.

5. Franchise Validations

Once you've learned more about each franchise opportunity that you are interested in, you will be able to speak with active franchisee's in their respective organizations in order to validate the business, support, and success of each.
