William (Bill) Powell, a franchise consultant with FranNet MidAmerica since 2014, helps connect people to their optimal next step, whether it's business ownership or their next job. He brings 30+ years of management, sales/marketing, communications and entrepreneurial experience to each interaction--gained from starting/running businesses, consulting and serving in the corporate world (e.g., GE Aviation and Mitsui USA). During his career, he's worked for/with 90+ organizations in the high-tech, manufacturing, service, and nonprofit sectors, as well as consulted with scores of individuals. He began his career as a reporter.
Bill's passionate about helping people find their next "best-fit" career step, whether that's:
Starting a business
Buying an existing business
Acquiring a franchise
Landing their next job
His broad and deep experience enables him to help people in each of those categories, through serving as a sounding board, educating, connecting, matchmaking (for franchises), and offering marketing and business insights.
In the franchise arena, he's put people across the region in business so they can realize their goals and dreams. In his "spare time," he uses his copywriting and marketing expertise to help businesses and individuals influence their markets.
A native of Dayton, Bill grew up and raised his family in Cincinnati. He earned undergraduate degrees from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA in Marketing from Xavier University. Current and past involvements include with chambers of commerce in Dayton, West Chester and Northern Kentucky, as well as with Centerville Noon Optimist Club, SCORE and Crossroads Church. He's served in leadership roles with several professional and service organizations, and frequently speaks on business ownership and job search topics throughout the area.
